Allan, I saw Jan & Dean live in 1978. It was a small venue, and it was one of the first live performances since Jan's wreck. It was also Jan's birthday, and we were able to spend some time with them off stage after the gig. It was obvious that he was struggling with the lyrics, but considering the extent of the damage from the accident, He done rather well. He, by his own admission, had to re-learn the lyrics to ALL of their songs! It was something I will never forget. I have always been a Jan and Dean fan. Bucket T was always one of my favorites, as it was so upbeat.
