TGIF - Busy Times

Well, another week in the books. Don't know about you folks, but I'm ready for the weekend.

Lot of updates on the forum/site. You might have noticed a surge in new reviews, and this is keeping me plenty busy.

Site areas and forum headers will be updated today. All other areas already tidy. Still pruning outdate/null/corrupt posts to free up space and maintain site loading speeds.

More new products on my bench to test and report. Lot of fun stuff this year!

Thanks Dave K at Carrera of America for answering questions and sharing the news. Also thanks to many of you stepping up and helping the newcomers in the group. BRAVO to you guys!

Grandkids arrive tonight and I think there will be some racing. Tomorrow it's back to reviews. Then some fun with the kids on Halloween :occasion-happyhalloween:

Hopefully come Sunday I'll get back to some building.

Tonight will be some build time in the Dungeon.
Tomorrow I see Curious George and the man in the Yellow Hat. AKA my grandsons lol.
Having just got back from PA, I manged to snag one of the wooden tool cases, so time to organize my tools and bench top too.

It is Saturday morning here and the sun is shining with little or no breeze. We get lots of windy days about this time of year.
I have accepted a full time, short term contract for the next four weeks. 6.00 am rising time means an early bed time.
The reason for doing it is ofcourse the pre Christmas cash boost.

The past week I have only read the forums and facebook pages. I saw Shotgun Dave's flooring project. Looks pretty sharp to me.
Mrs munter is in Vancouver so it is the dogs and Taka(our Japanese guest) and me on house duty.

Maybe, just maybe I will get to cast a couple of bodies later today.

The body I planned to use for the Show Me Showdown turned out to be unavailable, so today, I'll go through the boxes to see if I can find an alternative. There's too many Chevys in the lineup that I know of, so I'll favor Fords and others. Happy hunting for me!

Road trip today to Plymouth Michigan and back to take some family stuff to my cousin.
Got an offer on the house but it may take up to 45 days to close, I really didn't want to do a long distance move in Winter but you take what you can get!

Smoking two briskests all day tomorrow for Halloween get together. Seems it will be a rainy day for us in the south.

Getting ready for winter. Putting snowblower on tractor, picking up yard, maybe get some cleaning done in the basement.

And do plan on doing some racing at Sick Puppy tomorrow night, which will give me a chance to test run my Show Me Special... :D

Colloge is really keeping me busy. But being able to return to work will be worth it. Did get the track running tonite. 3 lanes are wired, just have to hit home depot in the morning for a little more wire. Got the Chevelle primed and plan to have it mounted on the HRS chassis tomorrow. Have some friends droping by to help rubber the track in.

I got to pay my house taxes this last Friday, along with taking the car in to get fixed. The car had bad wiring on the transmission interlock. It wouldn't come out of park, and I had no brake lights, common problem on Fords. Luckily I had another pigtail I had put larger wire on. Nothing like good old Parma PSE silicone controller wire, all crimped and soldered on, should last forever.
Strange I never had one trick or treater this year. I only had 5 or 6 last year. Maybe my house is too spooky. :lol:
