Oops... Looking at this pic, I see I forgot to put the notch in for the inline pods! :angry-banghead: I never fitted an inline, so it never crossed my mind...

Looks super. Good tip about the glue. I've just ordered a couple of Olifer chassis via Shapeways for SRC LeMans Porsche bodies so tips like this most useful.

Do you think it woulda been ok without the CA bath?

To be honest, I don't know. But it was bending way too much while I was trying to install the motor pod. Using the CA as a stiffener seemed to me to be a logical solution

The only time I've had people mention chassis flex issues is when they load the chassis or pod up with magnets...
Cheers

My brother got this chassis for his '67 Fairlane. He used a sidewinder motor pod, Slot-it guide, and magnets.
We have raced this hard on his 4 lane oval( read hard crashes) with no ill effects to the chassis or car. He used a Carrera Nascar interior and the stock 18k motor. CB Design wheels and slot-it axles. Handles like a Slot-it, awesome chassis.

Are these made to use a certain offset on the motor pod?

Which CB design wheels and what tires did you use?

Sorry I didn't get back on until now. My brother used the can end drive motor pod so he could use the stock motor. And yes he used 15 x 8 CB Design wheels. and see above redlynr answer. The interior is from the Carrera Nascar Cheerios car. I don't know how much trimming he might have done to it, but it fits nice.
Hope this helps.
