I finally decided I want to add a Chevy to my classic NASCAR collection. Instead of going with the more obvious liveries such as the gold & black #13 I decided to order a set of decals for Buddy Baker's #88. I have ordered them from Jim Heller's e-bay store. If they meet my needs I may be ordering more decals from him as he has a wide variety to choose from. I will post images once everything is in hand.

Bob, you will love DRs body, I've done 4 so far and have nothing but great things to say about them! What chassis is going under it, Carrera, R-M or something else? Watching!!!!

Most likely I will be using a Carrera chassis. I hope the extra weight won't slow it down too much as I plan to race it in our local Carrera Nascar class.

Your going to really like Jim's decals. I have purchased many and they are great.
Word of advise, they are very thin so take care when working with them.

Hehe, it's my track so as long as I don't get outrageous I can make the rules. Cars with resin bodies will be allowed the more powerful motors up to 21.5k rpm. Provided they don't turn laps a half a second faster than the others.

To be fair, so far I haven't participated in any of the races. As long as enough people show up to fill out a full field I am content to act as race director. On other nights my friend Garold an I do some highly competitive head to head racing.

Thanks for the order Bob. I'll get it made tomorrow and out probably on Saturday if my day behaves. I'm really looking forward to how this one turns out.

It came in the mail today (Wed. Nov. 25) I've got to say this is the best resin slot car body I have seen to date. Just one little area on the rear deck right next to the back glass opening. Been grinding away the excess resin on the inside and have gotten the weight of the body without the interior tray down to 40 gms. The Carrera plymouth body weighs 41 gms. with the interior. I don't want to weaken the body but I think I can knock a couple more grams of fat out of it. I will have pics with my next post.
