I have the cartoon car and I also found it was very good car right out of the box. I did change the rear hubs out for ones that were wider. was a lot of talk about it bring a inline on another forum. I also was little worried that it was inline. was very happy that it runs so well. :) :)

It is a great looking car. And with the new aftermarket chassis with a slot it inline pod the car is now able to run with the slot-it GT cars. Out standing job on the new chassis..

The alternate chassis is from Scaley too. So is it really aftermarket or an option? I already put a Piranha 21.5k motor in the stock chassis along with PG tires and the combination is a bit much for the standard rear axle and bushings. Getting the alternate chassis plus the motor pod and running gear will make this a fairly expensive slot car unless I tear down one of my slot.it cars.

The Scalextric part number is C8536 for the BMW and C8533 for the McLaren P1. So far they are the only two cars that Scalextric is making the slot.it ready chassis for. Just ordered the chassis from Scalextric in England. Free shipping to USA if you order is $50 or more, so I ordered a car too.
P.S. The body on this car feels like what the slot.it cars use, and it only weighs 19gms. Since it has a tray type interior I will be able to use a sidewinder or anglewinder motor pod as well as the inline pod.

That BMW is a real thing of beauty! Glad to hear that it runs as nice as it looks. Another one added to my wish list.

Initially I was a bit suspect about Scaley's use of an inline set up in this car but after reading your positive comments about the car I'm starting to think it might be the car to beat in our 18k GT class running in almost standard trim except for truing tyres and a bit of 3'n'1 oil rubbed into the rears and maybe some ballast. The track that I race on has long straights so the 3:1 gear ratio would give it longer legs and the lighter body weight would be a very real bonus. I might have to write a letter to Santa. Thanks guys.

I just found something . . . . 132slotcar.us has a "package" they have put together.
This package includes one of the new Scalextric GT cars, the Slot.It adaptive chassis plate and either a Porsche EVO (angle winder) or Jaguar XJR9 (inline) from Slot.It. The cost is $114.99. You get all the bits and pieces to build your own Scalextric GT car like ModlerBob has done.
Just information, no opinion provided.

Here's a link, sort of. When you try to use the link in the post it goes to an empty page at 132Slotcar.us. I guess they haven't completed the listing.

almost like they're different scales.
but hey- with a Team Russia car, you could invade the Ukraine! (just don't fly it over the Turkish Border.)
