Final night with the Ft Wayne slot group.
Posted: Wed Dec 09, 2015 8:58 pmJust got home from my last night racing with my friends at Summit RC in Ft Wayne. I've been racing there, off and on (work interfered at times) since 2004. Always a great group of guys and, like the folks on this site, willing to go the extra mile for another member. We ran 50s and "60s narrow tire" our "NC 1" class cars. I didn't do so well but had fun.
Took a bunch of stuff for the guys to pick through/divvy up and as a nice surprise Moose (Ken Wenhert) gave me 2 complete cars, an SCX Fiat Abarth 500 and a Revogram Jim Clark Cortina (apparently he had 2). He also gave me 2 "shells": a Hornby Alfa 155 and a Triang D-Type (may try and get it done for the new photo contest!). Great last night. Now I hope I can find some slotters in North Carolina!
