Went to the local hobby store to get or order the McQueen and Francisco and any other Cars cars, in 1:32. But they are on backorder, so after driving near 40 miles one way we "had" to buy a couple cars - right? Anyway, before I open these, will these work on my grey SCX analog track?

That should be the newer SCX track with a deeper slot. These will work fine on it.

Well maybe, the Black Vetter works fine the Yellow Aston Martian drives right off the track at the crossover spots, regardless how fast it is going. What's up with that?

Maybe the guide keel depth?

Both of those cars should have come with red guide keels in the back compartment of the packaging. It is for shallower/narrower slots on some tracks.....I have to use them on my Ninco track. Try that and see what happens.

Do I need to take the body off to get the black one out or just yank it out and push the red one in?

They got tangled up in the crossover, and the spoiler on the Vette broke - I guess a little body shop time when the grandson leaves.

Little kids love the level crossovers. Slot cars, not so much, but it sounds like you are having fun, and that's what it is all about, eh?
