TGIF - Plans?

Well, my plate is full around here with the track build. Looks like Mother Nature will cooperate today and DixonJohn has selflessly volunteered to watch me get it done. I just can't say enough about that guy :whistle:

Of course I had a big parts order come in from SCC and one almost here from Cloverleaf. I want to tinker, but track first :)

What about you folks? Any fun slot car plans?

Plan is to get out to manwan (my Man Cave) and finish up the 56 F100 I started last weekend. I got the chassis done with power and the body mounted, now hopefully I can get it off the track to finish the body work and paint. And of course listening to some Beach Boys while running some slots on the track may be in order also.

Got the Camaro I bought from Catracer in the mail yesterday and have it on the bench doing "local" mods. Also waiting on my 69 Cuda body from DR (chassis is already waiting on it), that should take care of my "weekend playtime". I also have a few missions for "household management" to accomplish. Hoping for a quiet couple of days :roll:

I'm working on my Scaley digital track today. I made the mistake of painting it with latex paint early in the week which didn't take to the plastic well. I don't know what I was thinking :angry-cussingblack: All is not lost. It comes off relatively easy with a scraper and a wire brush and little bits of the grey latex stays behind in the pores along with a dull black appearance of the plastic gives it a grainy asphalt look. I think I will leave her just like that. After the paint is taken care of, I will go back to my originally intended projects which was adding guard rails and copper taping the rails. Tomorrow my wife has a technology training all day so I am free. I will spend the day at my G scale model train club layout. It's a tough life I know, but somebody's gotta do it.

I'm going over to my buddies to help him finish his Giant HO oval. Then hopefully play testing it out.

Then hopefully wire up my 4 x 8 1/32 oval. it's been collecting boxes and dust. :violin:

Trying to get my 1/32 90's NASCAR a bit farther along and at the same time working on a 1/25 Classic NASCAR. All while trying to get the big truck ready to head to North Carolina tommorrow. And on top of all that, Try to get Harry moving on the track. I think you were wrong Dickie. He moves slower than a snail race. I've seen paint dry faster than this :lol: :lol: :lol:

A busy slot day ahead. I have a few cars to work on so I can race them tonight. I have my Ford/ Ferrari cars to do final testing and tuning on before the transporter leaves this week, plus another Ferrari that a friend asked me to check out for him before the proxy.

Tomorrow, I will be going to the open house for Mike's new Airport track. It looks challenging and fun. Monday evening, back to Mike's for our first scheduled race session.

Lots of slots this weekend, and lots of fun too.

I've been saying for a long time that if I ever get some alone time, I'm going to watch Rush with my helmet on and the volume waaay up. Its that good.

I'm going to look into building a Beach Racer this weekend. Its going to be wet out- I can't get anything done in soppy wet, so I am declaring a holiday for me.

We're running Round 6 of the Group 5 North American Proxy on Sunday morning. 22 cars; everything from plastic RTR to laser-cut steel chassis. Lots of Sideways BMW M1s and Ford Capris. Should be a fun race.
