RMS takes a little trip to race in Minnesota!

In 2014 I was able to get up to Minnesota on business and asked if anyone was racing during that time. Steve H (racer1h) and Steve S (Gameover) both responded and arranged to get me from downtown to Steve H's track. I got to meet most of their club members and really had a great time. Besides meeting this great crew, Steve's track is really challenging and very well detailed. I promptly showed off my incredible driving skills as a back-marker and managed to get my car off the table twice in a spot no one had ever done that in.
I took another trip this week and the guys moved their race night to Monday to accommodate my schedule. This time Gameover picked me up for the ride and we had a great visit. Since my last trip out, Steve has done a great deal of work to his track - removing the bridge that I launched off of, creating a great hill-climb section, and even adding a nice little memory of my last trip...more on that in a minute.
Due to the schedule change only Brian, Steve, Steve and I raced, but we had a great time. I ran some laps to get used to the new track sections and brought my Scalextric Camaro that our own Aloha tuned for me. Holy smokes is this thing smooth and fast. I was turning low 12 second laps with no warmup. The car was flawless.

The night's format was Fly Classics and even though he'd seen my driving, Steve H. still lent me one of his cars. After qualifying and setting handicaps, we ran 4 heats in each lane. I of course placed last, but managed to keep my car on the table this time!!!

I cannot thank all of these guys enough - really nice folks, a great track, and a great night!!!
Oh, and the reminder from my last off-road excursion? Here is is:
