Parts source for sprint car

I am totally new to building a slot car. I bought bodies, and sprint plus chassis. But where do I buy the other parts? And what parts do I need? I see so many choices I can't figure out which guide flags fit, and which don't. I wish I knew more about what to ask, but I am at a complete loss here.

I can answer that :)
Home track, it will be a small wood 4x8 oval. And try to keep it slow for me. I can always change motors or whatever later. I just want something to start playing with.

Thanks

I have a 4X8 oval too. I doubt that you want over an 18k motor on a track that size. Any more than that and you won't be able to use the extra power and the car will become a handful.

Thanks for the links Mike. I got my bodies and chassis from racesrp. He has some awesome stuff. I am looking for parts to complete it though. I have been poking around the slotcarhotrod site. But that is where I get lost. They have 12 different motors to choose from. I'm not even sure if they all fit. I am going to guess I want one of the slower (less than 21k) motors ?

Maybe I should post a shopping list, and let someone review it?

A lot of the modern slot car motors will fit in that chassis. If you use a C can with the plastic end bell, you want the motor with the shaft sticking out on the can end, not the bell (plastic) end. Many aftermarket C can motors have the shaft extended on both ends so that you can use it either way. Any of FF130 and the long can FF180 motors will fit too.
