So my buddy Sam is making a car for me for the club's "fairgrounds class". I had this broken Fury in my junk box and he's making quite a nice "silk purse" out of it I'd say.

My car is complete and I took this photo at Scott's track last Thursday night. This is the class of cars.

We don't usually run for a points series on our weekly races, but have since decided, after building these awesome cars, to put one together. We are going to run a Heat and Mains format, and keep points over the course of 9 races.

This is going to be an awesome class for us. We will be running them on 3 ovals and 2 road courses, just to keep things interesting.

We're still developing the class, so it's not completely formal yet...

The chassis is a Scalextric online NASCAR chassis, the one that came under the robo racer cars and the early Ford Taurus and Pontiac Grand Prix. It's a fairly flat chassis, and can be trimmed to fit under these model bodies.

We are using either slot.it orange bell or piranha motors. You can keep the stock Scalextric running gear if you wish (budget racer) or you can replace with any brand. Keeping to a 9t pinion with any crown hear. For wheels, could be stock Scalextric, or any 15mm aluminum (we like the CB Designs stock car or steel wheels) up to 11mm wide.

Tires are going to be open depending on track conditions, I am thinking silicone for the latex painted wood tracks and the melamine surface at No Way... Speedway and maybe urethane at our Artin track and the commercial 8 lane Bloom Raceway.
