Would anyone want to comment on the Avant Slot chassis performance. I was wondering how they compared to other chassis. Are they any better then a stock chassis?

Hi Dan,
I’ve got the Kremer Porsche with an anglewinder setup. It runs on a totally adjustable chassis, although it being a little brittle when handled too aggressively. The fronts are independent stub axles which are adjustable by three grub screws per axle. The motor pod can be set for float and can take any long can motor. To set it up properly takes a little patience, but once there, then the fun starts.
To answer your question; the chassis is as good as any Slot.it anglewinder with good grip, depending on the tyres. A good balance does not harm your pride!
Regards,
Gert

OK thanks. I found some running chassis for sale for $10 without tires. I thought the metal rims,21 K motor and aluminum spur gear were worth that so I bought them.
This chassis has the stub front axles.
If they are a decent chassis, maybe I will use them instead of parting them out.
Cheers
Dan

I would say you got a deal. They are supposed to be decent, as stated....and rollers minus tires (which we mostly replace anyway) for $10 is a deal!
Nice steal, I say. :text-bravo:

Dan Avant also offer the motor mounts in aluminum. Inline and anglewinder i think.
They are a touch pricey, about $25.00 Can.
Worth it if you are looking for an edge in a wide open class, but Stiff plastick is cheaper lol
All the best
