Another week at an end. The small fence project on the Show-Me Speedway is almost finished. The first fence didn't last long so it was back to basics using material that works :)
Still working on restoring some older Carrera NASCARs. Fun to bring back life into these cars that have given us many hours of fun over the years.
With my New Year Resolution happily broken, more project cars arrived. Will start to sort them out here soon.
Tonite will be fun as the Grand-Babys are coming to visit. Doing a special birthday dinner for meathead (son-in-law) with rib eyes and baby back ribs. Both are marinating now and should turn out well. We have crazy weather here. highs today in the mid 60's with a cold front moving back in to bring it back to the 30's by Monday :o
What are you folks up to?
By the way, check out the reviews section. Folks are taking the time to do some great reports in there. Some new, some older but still out there. Worth a look. :)

I've been wanting to work on some projects, but this cold is taking its toll. One of the worst I've had in years. It doesn't leave you with much ambition. The brain says "I can do that", but the body says "I don't think so". It will end sometime in the future, but not soon enough.

High School basketball game tonight, ship a few cars tomorrow morning and then I'm heading to Denver for the AFC Divisional game between the Denver Broncos and the Baltimore Ravens! Only going to be 19 degrees at the game, looks like I'll be dressed and looking like the Michelin Man!
Hope to finally get back to molding on Sunday and have two kits to do - I'm remolding the Transporter and have a new project to back cast for working on. It was a Rapid Prototype part, and needs a ton of work.

Im planning on dissecting a Carrera Cheetah for a alcohol bath to repaint it and with all the parts that just came in I will be working on the chassis for that and the Cobra hardtop. Crazy weather here too in the mid 80's for Jan is nuts. I have to get as much done as I can here in the next few weeks as I found out we will be going to 6 day work weeks in Feb. Ugh...

After another busy week here at the shop, we'll be hosting some Sat. night racing here at the store. Hoping for a good turnout...
Going to try and do some more work on my Carrera Cheetah. Hoping to get the B-Nova adaptor in there along with a Slot.It or NSR guide and also put in a lightweight interior see if she handles better. Is that considered cheating? Well yeah...it is a Cheetah after all... :banana-rock:

I figure that '72 Torino that is dulled out can't get worse, so I have spent the morning wearing my fingers out polishing the frosted windshields with 12,000 grit pads. Incredibly, they came very close to being transparent. Now I'm experimenting with Future to see if I can make them presentable. If not, I'll just make new ones from Coke bottles. The rest of the car will get Future'd and it should just look like sloppy Future work, rather than completely dullcoated. Its going to be a long afternoon.

I promised to do a review on the Slotcar Dragon drag race setup. Now that I have my new HO tires from Tom Hiester, looks like I will have a bit of fun in the small scale this weekend. Oh, and I am starting to update my slot car website again. Lots of new planned pages/pictures to come. Full disclosure: I picked up a BUNCH of new slots from Monogram (CanAm and NASCAR), Slot Its, Racer Sideways DPs, Scalextric Camaros and even Fly (NOS). So, I need to start actively selling my two pinball machines to make way for the table for 1/32!!

Getting closer to finishing Pony Wars proxy car. Glue bushings, tires and motor. Tack down leads. Install windows and interior. Decal, clear coat, Future, and maybe foil if I have enough time. Final weight and balancing, then a couple "laps" trying not to crash it. Hmmm...the to-do list still seems to be very long.

It is going to be a long night. I am trying to make as many cars as I can runnable. Age has attacked my Artin fleet and the tires are getting hard and greasy. I will be swapping good front to bad rears and matching up the tires I have in stock. It is like a jig saw puzzle.

Rick, that's what you get for living behind The Pine Curtain!! The folks in Waco have been telling me about the crazy weather all summer and winter this year. Now you're getting it. Did someone in Texas make god mad?
