Uncoventional frame for slot car track,

My neighbor is moving and asked me if I had a need for a rectangular trampoline frame he had stashed in his garage.
The wheels in my head began whirring...I said maybe.
This thing is huge, maybe 8'x14', but assembled would take only 1/2 of my garage. It has 4 u-shaped supports that bisect each corner. I'm thinking I could mount casters on the bottom and easily move it in/out/around the garage to easily get to anything stored underneath it, including my 3 old motorcycles.
As large as the frame is, the biggest problem might be marshalling turns. I'm thinking about a u-shaped design that would leave the middle area open; perhaps 2 4'x'8 sheets of framed plywood connected by 1 2'x8' sheet.
Just thinking out loud right now.
