Wow Tom.. what a great job on all the documention for the up coming Tourist Trophy. I sure hope I make one of the kelowna teams. If not I will be their to help and meet fellow racers from Western Canada. I've been in Mexico for 10 weeks so the trigger finger is a little rusty. Thanks to all the sponsers.

Hey Alwyn,

Yes we have a car, sort of...it’s the STP liveried Toyota. I used a Slot.it picture for some of the art, so I thought why not?

I’ve always liked the Toyota- most in our club race a Porsche (me too) - so I thought about trying something different... to be, well different!

I opened the shrink wrap, but that’s about all at this point ... lots of time procrastinate still!

No one else has declared what they intend to run yet, so your livery/car choice is pretty wide open.

Look forward to hearing what people go with...at any rate, it should make for some close and fun racing.

7 weeks to go...until the inaugural Tourist Trophy, hosted by Kelowna Slot Car Club at the historic DCMR 110 track.

In our June instalment of the Tourist Trophy newsletter, much to update on recent happenings!

Teams are all paid up, hand out motors have been tested during a FB livestream, drafted by teams & shipped out to teams.

Team drivers have been selected; as have both the primary and back-up team cars and liveries.

The "arms race" has begun with KSCC's Team 'Eh and Team BEER throwing down the gauntlet with beverage-infused, speed demons worthy of a competitive Group 5 proxy car :o

Two more sponsors have signed on.... special welcome and a shout out to Slot Car Mods (SCM) magazine and SRC slot cars, joining the ranks of Slot Car Corner Canada. :clap: :clap: :clap: :music-rockout: :music-rockout: :music-rockout:

Good to see your June ? newsletter TTT. The hosts had a run through at Richards on Sunday. Some kinks to work out yet but all things considered we are quite close to being ready. Should be a lot of fun. With every day forecast for next week above 30 C it should also be hot in August (outside and on the track). Good thing so many cars are drink related.

Should be a hot one. The weather will be warm too! Our Turd-ota may still be a turd, but one day she'll blossom into a beautiful butterfly...either that, or I take her out behind the shed for some wise-guy TLC :violin:
