I hope someone can remind me what the glue was called that Chris Walker used and discussed on his pod narrowing thread...?
I seem to remember 5000 being in the title but I cannot find the thread to refer to.
TIA
John

Close but no cigar...
It is Eclectic E6000 (NOT 5000!). Made by the same people that make Shoe Goo. Since reading about it in his thread I bought a tube and I must say I far prefer it to (my former favourite ) Shoe Goo. It is less viscous (thinner, more "runny") and the 59 ml tube I bought has a great dispensing nozzle attached. This makes it easier to apply in difficult spots and the lower viscosity allows it to "run" more freely into tight spots as well. It is reputedly a bit stronger than Shoe Goo but that is not important to me: Shoe Goo was absolutely strong enough so the E6000 might be more difficult to remove when I make a boo-boo.
I realise it might be a long drive for you (!) but in Canada it is readily available at Canadian Tire. I am sure you will find it in the same hardware stores where you would have found Shoe Goo.
Cheers
Alwyn

E6000 is some good stuff! I use it to assemble body parts. I believe it allows a bit of "give" during unintended deceleration with guard rails, walls and the occasional other car. It is also removable if necessary.

Interesting. So, its like a flexible, better sticking hot glue?

It is a gazillion times better than hot glue in virtually all respects: easier to apply, sticks better, stronger. Only potential down side is that it might be more difficult to remove than Shoe Goo. Note that it is only very slightly flexible
