Just about finished my "scrapheap" Cheetah. I really need to source a decent set of wheels for it. For now, it's running great!

I have had the body for awhile and have been meaning to fit it to a spare hrs2 chassis for basically forever. Well I finally dug through my parts bin and realized I had all the parts required to build the chassis. It really is a Frankenmobile but at least I finally have a running Cheetah. As looked through my small collection of cars for a running mate, the Autohobbies Cobra came to mind and I think it looks the part (not sure if this is historically correct).

The Cheetah has an hrs2 chassis, MRRC wheels in front, mystery wheels in back, slot.it axles and gears, Teamslot long can motor and of course, a Strombecker body.

Put the wheels of the Cobra on the Cheetah and find a set of Halibrands for the Cobra :) LOL

I have an MRRC body that I am planning on making a brass chassis for I bought some wheel inserts from MRRC for it.

The Cheetah looks great, looks way wider then the Cobra GT. :clap:
What kinda wheel are you plaining to use :?: , there's some really nice ones out there. :music-rockout:
Just be glad your not buying a set for a real car or maybe it would be nice to owen a real race car :auto-driving: :auto-checkeredflag:

I'll need to look around. Wheels are actually easy to find. It's the proper insert that might be an issue.

For now, I'm just having fun running laps with both as they look great going around my layout.

I am curious why you say, "...and of course, a Strombecker body." Are you working under some kind of constraint (professional or personal) that would preclude the use of a Cheetah body by another manufacturer?
