The E-Type is one of my favorites, I've been following the Scalextric release of these cars with anticipation. I have the Revell version from when they were released several years ago, beautiful body but poor chassis and drivetrain. Based on your review I'm ready to pull the trigger on one of the new Scalextric versions. Thanks for the review and tuning tips.

Glad to help out. These cars are really fun and I'm still happily playing with them.

No secret compound - I use ScratchX or regular polishing compound...no particular brand.

I haven't had a chance to turn any laps with mine yet - (I picked up the C3890 #9 car last week) - but have it prepped to make it's debut at the track this Sunday! :)
