Well, I'll go against the grain. lol We run a lot of Carrera cars here at the shop. I fully recommend filling them in. We use thick super glue with a spray accelerator. Then hand file the high spots then true the wheel enough so it's smooth. On the D124 cars you can definitely tell a difference. My suggestion to you is, run the the/a car before and after and see if your lap times improve. If they do, then it's worth it to you. I don't run mine unless they're fill in. The cars have a slight bounce without. If you run magnets, the bounce is not as noticeable. We race non-mag so every imperfection stands out.
