Question about Avant Chassis

Postby 4380r » Tue Aug 21, 2018 4:40 am

I'm setting up an Avant Elise GT 1 for our upcoming club season. I see that in addition to the stock chassis, 'hard' and 'soft' chassis replacements are available. What are the relative advantages to a presumably very rigid chassis, the 'moderate' flex chassis that is standard, or a softer, more pliable replacement chassis.

Running mostly wood tracks, from 90+ feet down to 55 to 60'. Sponge tires, stock Avant motors.

I have the Avant Kremer Porsche which came with the medium chassis which I ended up cracking so I ordered a replacement which is the stiffer chassis. I run on a MDF 55' track and I honestly didn't notice any difference.
