I really like the look of the vintage stockers and none more so than the famous Dan Gurney Galaxie by Cox. Well, I finally received the decals to finish my 1/32 version. Hope you like it.

Bob, you're correct, that is a Plymouth, but it has 426 C.I. on the hood. That is a Chrysler Motors Hemi. Fords were 427 c.i. displacement.

I thought car #121 was a dark red '65 Ford Galaxie. Did Gurney drive a MOPAR too? I ought to look it up, but being lazy, I sit here wondering. Its great to see the old Cox cars refurbished and looking sharp as they were when I was a teenager.

Yes, you guys are all correct, this is not a Ford, that's why I said it's my "version" in 1/32. The proper Cox car 1/24 Ford in good shape costs about $400 - $500!!!
Monogram did offer the 1/32 Galaxie in the dark sort of burgundy color a few years back. I see that one from time to time on ebay getting $100 at auction or at least sellers are asking that much now.
These are resin bodies and I wanted to recreate something that look liked the old Cox car for my racing enjoyment.

Well you did a great job! I was not criticizing the build, more wondering if i had missed a gurney car along the line. I build fantasy liverys all the time, as i dont have to be totally correct.

The 65 Ford was the maroon color and was number 121, the 66 Ford (Cox Model) was white with a red roof and was also 121. I believe there is a resin 66 bodfy around that is 1/32 scale.
