I wonder sometimes how cool it would be for this car to be tooled by our bigger brands. Match this beast up against a 65-67 Bowtie. What a pair :)

It would be nice to be able to get 1/32 scale models of that car and of the next couple of years with the changes they made with the body changes. Safe to say we will have to just keep looking.

Just glad that there are a few musclecar offerings as I have seen a Challenger, Mustang,Camaro, & Corvette. Would like to see them make 442s, Roadrunners or GTXs, Chargers, Chevelles, Cudas, AMX, GTO, Impalas including the old 409s etc. I grew up on these and they will always be my favorites.

What about using the dealer promo models they sold or gave away at the car dealerships back in the day ? I see them for sale fairly often for not a whole lot of money.

My father’s 1961 or so Ford Falcon broke down a couple different times on his way to work. He decided to upgrade to his first new car. Some upgrade! The first year GTO that had the horizontal and not the stacked headlights. 1964 red convertible with a white top and red interior. Cost him about $4500. I think my mother gave birth to my sister on the spot.
I keep trying to find a 1964 GTO body in 1/32, but can only find a vacuum one. The 1964 started it all for Pontiac. I believe DeLorean was in on the development of it.
I actually learned to drive in this car. He sold it in the late 80’s after many years of his mechanic’s begging for much more than he had paid for it.
I could even fake the soft top on a sedan. I do have a couple of 1/24 model kits, but would love the 1/32 version.
Oh well — just another slot car pipe dream.

You might be able to find that model at a web site called HobbyLinc.com , not sure if it will be a 1/32 scale but you never know, another place is modelroundup.com. Check out those two places, not if there is any others sites but those two are a good place to start
