I am eagerly waiting for the scaley version of this car. I am assuming it will have the new inline drive train. Supposed to hit the stores in December. It would be bad marketing if it misses the Christmas market.

I'll find out.
My photos of the prototypes early this year. Sadly I had to return them to the homeoffice.

**** EDIT*****
This car has the FF (slimcan) motor I'm told. BTW I've gotten the specs on that motor and it's only rated 1000 rpm higher than the standard motor. So it's essentially the same spec as the regular FC motor.
Needed more time to wake up before answering this today... sorry... FF slimcan motor NOT big block FK.

FK motor??
That is a step in another direction for Scalextric
Ninco used FK motors long can (eg NC5) and short can (NC8)
Or is it the slim FF050 motor the same as in the Ford MkIV
If so it will be a quick car. In my experience scalextric ff motors are approx 23k. Being FF it won’t be an even runner with other GT cars that have an FC motor in them

I don't understand Scalextric's decision to go with a "FF" motor. Both Slot.It and MrSlotcar were able to fit the more standard size motors FC and FT inside the car with more or less complete interiors. In slot.it's case inline while MrSlotcar used an anglewinder setup.

I could fit the Mrslotcat short body over the slot.it chassis as the wheel base is the same

Still a different car... if you want to not accept what I've said about it being a clearance issue you're welcome to ignore me.

I'll be content to wait and see. I have several of the slot.it long tail version, two of the MrSlotcar short tail version and even one of the Ninco short tail version. I will be getting at least one of the new Scalextric version but depending on how it runs there may be only one in my stable.

My new Scaley F1GTR sure enough has the new inline configuration just like the GT3 cars but it has the standard FC-130 motor, not the smaller slimline FF motor. Plenty of room inside for the interior.
