Please excuse the newbie questions. I've been doing searches since receiving this car yesterday and if these issues have been covered in the past I can't find it. Looked around at the old reviews as well and came up blank on these old ones. Has little round magnets and an inline motor. Didn't pay much so if it becomes a shelf queen that's ok but I would prefer to be able to run it. It is a used car also. As light as it feels and the fact that it looks like a kids toy I'm guessing these are cars from inexpensive home sets ? Anyway basically it sucks to drive. There seems to be a lot of play in the gears and turning the wheels by hand it almost feels like turning a ratchet with the "click click click" as you turn them. Very jumpy as well as noisy going down the track, maybe due to this issue ? Even going extremely slow it flips over going into the turns. On the advice of a friend I lightly trimmed the body posts to make the body sit slightly lower and give it some float and it helped very slightly but not much. I bought it used on that evil auction site for 15 bucks so I prefer not to have to put a pile of money into making it acceptable. Any help ? As it is my clunky old Eldon 6 volt cars that sit collecting dust are more fun to drive and that's not acceptable. No pics at the moment but here is the same car. It's the Yellow Monte Carlo. My intention for this car was to strip off the decals and use it as the basis for a clone of my old 1-1 scale real Nascar Late Model we raced in the late 90s. That car was mostly Yellow so I thought this would be a good donor.
