I started reading the book "Go like hell", about the Ford/Ferrari Le Mans rivalry, so of course, I need to get a GT40. My question is, did Scalextric ever make the 1966 winner (#2, black) with lights? I looked on ebay & only see cars that appear to not have working lights. It does seem like later versions of this do have working lights. Who has one of these or knows about the various versions of this they released? Thanks.

I see one listing for this car that says "BRAND NEW STILL IN THE ORIGINAL CRYSTAL DISPLAY BOX. THIS IS THE SCALEXTRIC C2463A FORD GT MK11 1966 LE MANS. WITH WORKING HEADLIGHTS"

they made two versions of it - a standard version and a weathered finish line version with the other two cars that finished 1,2,3
they all have headlights - if they aren't working it must be because they broke :)

Danger is correct but technically they made a dirty, sport version and a standard version. We have the Sport on hand. ;)

With a lot of work you can install working tail lights too.
