They're good quality built cars, and with a metal chassis rather than plastic like other brands.

They come with the good stuff, aluminum wheels, bearings, etc. that you have to buy separate with most other brands. For $75, they're a good deal. And they're great looking cars.

Yes, you can buy 2 Scaley or Carrera cars for almost the same money, but these rely heavily on magnets to run good, whereas the Revo's rely more on quality engineering. Having said that, the gear mesh is a bit noisy on the Revo's, but they still run well. And they get better the more you run 'em.

From my experience slot cars with metal chassis don't get along well with plastic track and the steel rails that transmit power to the car.

Our group just ran an endure with the RevoSlot cars on a Carrera 4 lane track without any problems. We are also running the RevoSlot cars in our Wed night series. All of our tracks are plastic tracks and we have not had any problems with the cars and the track. The only "problem" I have had is with the optional deep guide it may make a light contact with some of the track joints. A light sanding of the bottom of the guide and the problem is solved. I have all 4 of the RevoSlot models and they equal performers for me. I have changed my tires to silicone for better performance on my tracks.

I have found they perform very well and are a blast to drive. I have more money in some older plastic cars trying to get them as fast....

I have 3 of the Porsche Revo slot cars and I run them on Cincyslots Carrera track and have had no problems. I love the cars and how they drive but not enough people have them here to have a class to race them in...

I run them on my Carrera track (raised rails) and zero problems, works just fine.

I guess the metal chassis car I had problems with didn't have sufficient clearance. There has been only one person with a Revo slot Viper who ran it on my mdf track. It ran fine but couldn't outrun my Scaleauto Viper.

Well I went a head and bought the Revo Viper in Yellow should get it in a week let you know what I think of the car . Thanks to everyone for the info Dennis

It is not the fastest car on the track, but they are very fun to drive and handle well. On wood with no magnet they slide with no chatter, and they require NOTHING out of the box other than tightening some screws to be reliable and quick.

Even a scale auto or something you are going to put tires on the back at least straight away, and then your already nearly 80 bucks in. The price really isn't excessive when you see what your getting.

I have a Porsche, a Marcos, and a Viper. I haven't run them much yet, but I really like them all. They are fun to drive (I did switch to Quick Slicks) and seem fairly equal on my wood track. Worth the $$ in my opinion. Hopeful that others in my club will like them.

Well made product for non magnet racing.
It is interesting to try and convert their axle from 3mm to 3/32. Scale Auto has in their product guide a 6mm flanged 3/32 ball bearing that would be a perfect swap. Have been unable to secure them though. Have found 6mm non flanged 3/32 ball bearing and glued in and runs much quieter and you can use standard 6.5mm and 18 mm gear. that is a win for me as i have no 3mm wheels and/or axles
