Drivers heads, where to find?

I'm fixing up some older Strombecker cars and need some heads. All I seem to be able to find are 10-15 dollars EACH
These are just runners, not some museum piece. Accuracy is not needed.
Hell I'll use a ball of glue before paying that.

Anyone know of a cheap source? I'm not worried about high quality parts.

The absolute cheapest method I have used is grab some Dollar store fake Lego figures; removing/painting helmets on them. Perhaps only one step up from a ball of glue or pink plastic bead head with painted on full face helmet (I've used that too). ;)

Ejshobbies.com had drivers for only $3.50 each, they might have a minimum order amount.

bigdonkeyresins has 1/24-25 drivers with multiple heads for $6, but they might know who has 1/32 resin heads.

Go to Hobbly Lobby and buy some Alumilite casting resin and High Strength mold rubber. Learn to make parts like this for near nothing.

The guy at Dart sure has a nice track. His personal guidelines for building a track are on his site and they are right on. I think that it is probably easier to rout a solid piece of MDF and then if you want elevation, you can cut and raise parts of your road. He has used the model RR method of building a roadway on an open grid. That is a little more involved and a new builder should probably be realistic about his skills and start with the easiest method, working with a flat table top.

I'm sure he will make nice parts for you.
