I've been in the hobby for a little over a year and only have scalextric and carrera cars but I'm really interested in the Revo Supra. I have read on here that some people say the Revo are noisy but aside from that what are people's opinions on the brand? Also has anyone run the Supra yet? Is it worth the money? Any help would be much appreciated.

Well in my view, they are some of the nicest ready to run cars you can get.





All they need is a very light amount of oil in the bearings and a tire swap (Quick Slicks here).

We just had a race event and these are just a fine model all around.

The Revo Slot cars are awesome. With that said, in our group at least, the gears can be inconsistent. A couple are noisy or have high spots. Turning the gear by hand, it feels smooth 3/4 of the way around then it gets tight. The 2 I have are very smooth. The Viper is super quiet. We noticed this more in the early releases. It seems like the issue may have been resolved with the Supra, Viper and Marcos. Definitely worth getting.

Yes, the first releases of the Porsche and Marcos had some pinion issues. Not all, but out of 4 I had two with bad pinions.

Just swapped to Slot.it and all is well. Much smoother.

One word of caution, if you club race them and use dots (or anything sticky) for lane markers. We've found that the Supras in particular are not clearcoated and the lane markers will lift off the decals.

Well that is another good reason to put lane stickers on the windshield. On the body it can get lost in the livery on the car.
