I traded Dan some bodies for a chassis.
He does quality soldering work.
So to get rolling I used some strombecker front chapparell wheels and repop tires up front. EJS wheels and rubber in the rear.
I have inserts ordered and will cut the rear axle narrower.

Glad you have it rolling again. I am working on a Strombecker Ford J car, and a Ferrari 250 SWB.(Which just might be my all time favorite car). Some wire wheels showed up at the door today.

I have BRM wire wheels for this. I have these fitted on another Ferrari and they are smooth, so I hope these new ones are as good. Just finished up an inline brass chassis for the SWB. So should get the chassis rolling later today. The 250 SWB is a classic, and very hard to find in slot car form. I put in a very high bid on a running one and heaved a sign of relief when this high bid was eclipsed as the auction neared completion. Ended up going for double what I thought was an extravagant bid.
Mine will be Ferrari Red.
How is that slim can working on your track in the Cheetah? For my home track they are quite good motors and very drivable used in a nomag situation. I am running them in all of the smaller bodied cars. They make a nice class of cars to drive against each other.
