Haven't purchased a slot car in a while so after running these SLVs at HRW, I had to pick them up. Will re-motor them with a Minnow.

I should be all set!

Ha! Yeah, just netted a whole mess 'o' minnows myself. Both will get the same.
But...are we staying stock tires? I want to be legal. The guy in charge of this series is a stickler for rules.

That is how I’m doing my buses, minnow motor and stock tires. The box stock motor is just a little too hot for these cars, but at 10 volts you might get away with the factory motor.

Nice.. Very nice. So the Minnow is a direct replacement? And is there anything else just a bit slow-er?

Well not sure on slower. I think the Minnow tames them down just fine.
With voltage adjust we had a ball with stock. Taming them down a bit should be the sweet spot.

I feel your pain. I just bought a 2019 McLaren 720S and with its 710HP/568 LBS TQ it spins the tires way too easily so I'm putting a 3 cylinder diesel out of a Dihatsu Hijet in it. Oh wait, I can modulate the throttle instead - silly me... :)

Nice analogy Dogsbody but after replacing the first set of tires I think the traction control would be a better option :auto-driving:
