NSR3043 SHARK "EVO" 25 Balanced standard Mabuchi can sized m

Question on this newly listed NSR3043 SHARK "EVO" 25 Balanced standard Mabuchi can sized motor? When I cut the label to create clearance to mount in a slot.it sideways pod i noticed that the motor can was stamped 22000. In other NSR motors that stamping correlated to the motor rpm. I did not test rpm but wondered if anyone else had noticed this or would know why motor is stamped that way. I will probably pull motor to test rpm. Just wondering...?

They may be using the same can for all the different motors? Just changing the guts.

I doubt they are using an older can since the new motors all have screw holes finally.

Hi Dale
I did quick RPM check on the following 3 motors at 12v, here are the results:
NSR Shark 25k (no holes/original) 25100
NSR Shark 25k (new EVO with holes) 24200
Piranha 25k (BB) 26300
Both the Piranha and the original 25k Shark have about 30mins of run time on them, the NSR EVO is brand new. it was a quick test and I would only use these numbers as guidance.
BTW - I drove Smoke's Group 5 car with the new Piranha 25k (I assume it was a sample or an early production run) - since the motors only became readily available a few weeks later, but the newer stock Piranha does not feel as smooth as the earlier model and the magnet is also much stronger. Almost as if the motor design has gone from using regular magnets to neodymium, the motor has a much more on/off feel, at least IMHO.

Thanks for the follow up when I get around to it I will take a picture to show what I mean. I will be the first to say that the original Piranha motor is an amazingly smooth motor.
