What have I done now....
Was having some issues getting the Lambo to cooperate. So...took out the anglewinder apparatus, replaced with sidewinder, Slot.it MX16 Motor, 13/32 gearing, Quickslicks CB58F tires, NSR 5202 ZG fronts. 1.5g weight between pod and front axle. And of course the famous .005 thruster bushings front/back. The Bull is a ripper....All is now right in my world.

Why did you swap out the motor?

A thrust bearing does what slot car guys accomplish with nylon axle spacers. Normally, a bearing implies a ball race or something like it is involved, but on something as small as a slot car where there is so little force involved, the nylon, steel, or Delrin washers get it done just fine, essentially eliminating side to side movement.

Very nice work. I, like you, replaced the original motor with either a slot.it orange endbell motor or a piranha 21.5K motor. On my 55' mdf track with a maximum 10' straight more powerful motors don't suit my driving style very well. It's less about speed and more about good smooth laps.

did that come with 17k baby raptor motor????
