I'd just about written this one off as 'lost for good'.



I think this was popped out in early 2010. It was called 'BeetleRod'.

Got a fair way along with this one, just the wheels left to tool up (and the roof mounted surf boards!).

I remember it being a hoot on the test track - a little rocket as I recall with a wide back end and skinny front tires.

What do you think? Is it worth pumping some plastic and cranking them out?

I shall have to go and have a look and see what else we got in Ye Olde Factory Treasure box.

Only if you include roof rack and surfboards, Jules.I can recall seeing one often at Rye Back Beach when on family holidays as a kid. Even hunted out a static kit to build one for myself, which I promptly mashed.

Very nice! As a VW Bus fan, I would be excited about production.

That is cool, but like someone said earlier. If it delays that Javelin...not so good.
