It is an auto colour - Aspen Green Metallic

I love that car! That era of racing is among my favorites. She looks good with new paint. As for lowering her, I probably would do the simple raising of the front axle if she were mine, but................... she is a classic so I understand your hesitance.

I have to tidy up the whole front axle, it flops all over the place at the moment.
The problem is Scalextric decided to put a 2mm plate under the chassis pan in order to mount the guide. If they had mounted the guide flush with the underneath of the car it would probably be alright.
I don't intend to race it, it drives fine so I think it is best to leave well enough alone

Hey, DM, that car looks fantastic! Way to take an oldie and bring it up to date with some skillful painting. What wheels are on there?
As for the front, I wouldn't change it. It looks like it would be right at home racing next to a Ninco Ferrari 250 TR.
