Hi Fella's (and Ladies!):
What aftermarket tires are direct replacements for the Carrera Classic Nascar tires as used on the Mopars/etc?
Got some money burnin' a hole in my pocket. :D

I've just learned that Tiny Motors makes a direct replacement tire. I think they're silicone. Does anyone have any experience with this tire? Grip: Same? Less? More?
Thanks.

Tiny's tires are awesome. However, I now use urethanes. I know PG makes a very good urethane replacement too if you want that.

Urethane? PG?
Do urethane tires have more or less grip than silicones? I want LESS grip.
Why do you guys prefer the urethanes over silicone?
I would like to have OEM tires... but they're made out of unobtainium it seems.

Well they have great grip, but still allow drifting.
They are urethane. The reason I like them over silicone is that they are sandable. When you are using these on stock wheels and such, sanding helps smooth out the ride.
Also, silicones need a very clean surface. A little amount of dust and you are ice skating. I know you want less grip, but you don't want to just fish tail all over the place, as in down the straights.
I have a few sets of Carrera stock tires. Let me see how many I have.

I probably have 7 or 8 sets as well. All my Carrera classic NASCARs have been reshod with PG tires. Just the right amount of slide with very predictable handling.

Paul Gage (PG) or Yellow Dog (Supertires) are both outstanding on Carrera Stockers.
Urethane tires work very well on both plastic and wood tracks. I would rather spend my time racing rather then cleaning.
If yo don't get enoughspare tires, I have some low mileage "takeoffs' I will donate to your cause.

Please email or PM your mailing address.
I don't have as many as I thought because, once you sand these stock tires and get them heated up, they harden like candy in a short time.
But I have enough for a few cars.

Every Carrera stocker I've had has wonky wheels. I want to replace the wheels on my Charger 500 with the SCC 17x8 steelies, as seen in the following thread:

carrera slots has them, but as said before PG is a great tire, when you sand Carrera stock rubber its very sticky, but in a few months they can go hard on you
good luck Andre
