What is the latest slot car(s) in your collection?

Mine is the Scalextric Trans-Am Stang and Camaro...plus one more Carrera NASCAR thanks to Rusty.





Have you ran them yet? If so, what do you think?

I'm pretty happy to say the least. Been having a tuning session down here this evening and having a ball with them.

I picked up a new Pioneer Mustang from Rusty. Got a super deal on a new Ninco Jaguar roadster, the red and silver one. And lastly for now a Carerra BMW 2002. I will be getting the Scaley Mustang and Camaro for sure!

Sold some vintage stuff, went on a spree.......got a Slot-It Rebellion Lola and Mazda 787, and a Ninco Mosler.
Going to have to have a Nissan R381 from Dave though...too pretty to pass up.

Picked up an Autoart D Tpye Jaguar and Ferrari 250LM of Bruce
Currently replacing the driver in the Jag and then will work out how to get it running a bit smoother - it was ok out of the box, the tyres are very skinning so that will be the first improvement if I can get something to fit under the guards.

I also tuned up my Scalextric Mercedes 300SLR the Fangio car - replaced the motor with a BWA and the spring with a fixed shaft, trued urethane tyres and it is a lot better to drive now.

Come Sunday (father's day here in OZ) my second Scaleauto HSV will arrive and I am playing with a couple of the old SCX SRS2 cars - they have a neat chassis and go quite well on wood

I pretty much always pick up the Scaley TransAm cars when the new ones come along.

We had a long running series that included a long enduro as well as weekly races using these cars bone stock except tire changes. We got to be rather good at fine tuning to get the most from bone stock spec. It was one of the most enjoyable series we ran. A Mustang won the enduro, but only because a Camaro that should have won was interfered with by a drunk spectator several times. Even then, it was very close.

Yeah RM, good stuff but could ya keep the long tuning articles in pit row please? This really isn't a post to list tuning methods. Not trying to be difficult, but it I would like this to get filled with shots of the new toys.

Otherwise good stuff folks...good stuff.

Keep it up. I like seeing the new toys people are choosing.
