Postby brian64 » Sat Sep 28, 2013 6:44 am

What a night , the MAYOR DAVE got to the track at 5pm what a great surprise! Then STEVE AND ERIC also, it was just getting better. Then our REGULARS DON and PETE.Rick it was sad all had to go AT 5:30 LOL . You guys see all. Sorry that You and others could not make it.
First Race we did was 9v 60s F1 IROC Thanks DAVE and DON for letting us use your cars. The racing is great fun with just the right amount of sliding. It was very close but your host pulled it off with a first Then DON, STEVE,DAVE,ERIC and PETE.
Second Race 70s F1 at 10v. This race again very close . Don who is a SCORPION TRAP MASTER NOW, was fast and kept clean around the corners . Don pulled FIRST,then the rest of us, Brian, Steve Pete, Dave and Eric.
Third Race MODERN F1. This race is at 11v high speed. Now this race had a good chance of being Dominated by the Ferrari team of DAVE. But he was so fast his car lost its front wing first. Then its front wheels were lost. And disintegrated around his Driver! Such SPEEEED! Bad luck indeed he was on pace for a BIG WIN. Sorry the back up car couldn't keep you there DAVE. And STEVE sorry your NEW CAR guide was crap. So for the Results . Brian , Don, PETE podium. Dave. Steve.Eric round out the rest.
All pics race results done by DAVE . THANKS. Third race you all will have to take my word for it!
Sorry I still have to figure this sites photo share out without sharing my whole photobucket account? I miss the old system.
The 60s F1 are the scally Lotus and Eagles, 70s F1 Fly March , Lotus and Williams also Scally Ferrari and Mclarren. Modern F1 All scally with FF motor.

Those are some GREAT cars! How can we find open wheelers like that? You must have a blast racing them. If you find yourself in the sands of Phoenix you are welcome to race I have loners and extra controlers!

Brian. The Red March is a Penelope Pitlane kit with PP Chassis, The Blue and Yellow Brabham is a Protoslot kit on a Fly March Chassis, the Yardley McLaren is a chopped and Modified Scaley McLaren, Blue Surtees is an old 1/32 AMT kit on a Modified Scaley McLaren Chassis and the rest are Chopped and modified 70's Scaley cars also on McLaren Chassis.

I was pretty lucky in that I managed to pick up a heap of M23 Mclarens that required repairing and used them as a base for a lot of the cars.
So most of them run pretty much on Equal terms with the RTR classic F1 cars.

I also have a fair few Fly March, Lotus and Williams cars as well as the Scaley Mclarens and Ferraris, and the Lotus 49 and Eagle cars. I love My 60's and 70's F1s and am really chomping at the bit for Ron Howards new movie.
It would be pretty cool to come and have a race but I don't think that they run a bus service from West Australia to Phoenix anymore :D.
