With 4 of 30 heats in the books, some very close racing. Total laps by team:
Shoreline Model Raceways - 1,166 laps
Team Quebec - 1,150
Clover Leaf Racing - 1,140
Team Can(less)Am - 1,135
Team CT - 1,089
Each heat is 48 minutes long - a given racer must complete the entire heat (i.e. no driver changes during a given heat)
:)

Apologies for the lack of updates. I (Dickie) have somehow gotten locked out from HRW, so am writing under Christian's handle, and using his Apple laptop (you know it's hard to use a French keyboard)
Anywho,Team Shoreline is leading at just before halfway, with Team Can(less)Am in 2nd. Team Cloverleaf is 3rd, Team Quebec is 4th, and Team CT is 5th. We're now racing under dusk conditions (low lighting), and will be heading into darkness (very little lighting). Cars are holding up pretty well, but the same can't be said for some of the drivers-lol

I'm baaaack!!!! (Haha)
Yeah Harry, we need you and Tom to help set the competition straight here...
As you can see from Christian's post above, there's some close racing happening here. We have many heats where guys are finishing within a couple laps, sometimes on the same lap!

It was a long 24 hours. Everyone is on the road for home but results are:
1 - Shoreline Model Raceways
2 - Can(less)am
3 - Team Quebec
4 - Clover Leaf Raceway
5 - Team Connecticut
That was the best slot car race I have ever seen or driven in. Everyone was watching the racing and the monitors as there was more side by side racing action going on for the lead. Every heat was close and had different winners.
Thanks to Steve Sawtelle for organizing and putting on an event like this. It takes a dedicated person to open their house up for so long to so many people.

Thanks for the great race Steve. It was an event to remember. We all had a great time, it was some really great racing running for 48 mins. and being on the same lap as three of the other lanes was great very intense racing going back and forth the whole race. Always great to see you guys and get to race together. Cant wait for the next event.
