They look great. Im suprised it has taken this long for wireless analog controllers. Out of interest how long do they take to charge up?

They come with a small charge and take about an hour to charge with about 8 hours of play after they are charged.

That charge time sounds very reasonable Dave.

Glad to see they got rid of the ugly oil cans. I've had great success with the early Evolution Analog Wireless with the exception of the infra-red signals getting blocked by physical objects (hands, feet, legs, dogs!). When I take them to a friends who has Digital and we run 4 or more cars, even with two towers, one on floor, one on wall, someone is always in the way. With the radio signal I should be able to sit comfortably and just drive without having to aim the controller so the towers can "see" them. Kudos Carrera...

I hope this idea continues to catch on. The batteries in my Scorpius wireless controller ( two AAAs) lasted about three months. The concept is great where space is tight, especially for someone with mobility issues. Maybe Carrera will eventually make them so they can be hooked up to generic driver's stations. I'm curious about how many different frequencies are available, or are they just preset to the power base track section making only two necessary.

There's VERY little chance that would happen Bob sorry. 2.4ghz is the frequency used and the system uses a frequency hopping function to keep a solid connection that's less likely to have interference.

If you had 2 sets you could run a 4 lane track right?
Or....Five 2 lane tracks all running within 25 ft of each other without crosstalk between the controllers because of the way the controller is ID'd to the receiver ?
