Bob DeWoody very nice write up, I like your mods to the rear and with that motor I could see why, Your car looks nice painted up.


I entered mine in the RAA proxy because of the bad write ups on that forum. You all should know but I don't like posts dumping on a car. This race showed the car would out proform slot-it and NSR cars with a little bit of setting up. I found the chassis one of the best & easiest to work with. I did have a hard time putting in the head lights. Car is home now and under going a repaint and a go over

I ended up 3rd in the class and 8th overall. I did change the motor & wheels so it would fit in the GT class.
It ran the H & R 18000 RPM motor with sloting plus wheels and super tires.

At this time when the slot car manufacturers are going through so much, it is particularly important for us to share every new piece of information. If something sucks or is overpriced for the actual value, it is imperative that the info is shared. That's not "dumping", and any confusion about that needs to be straightened out fast. We are all we've got, and if the hobby is going to remain, straight talk is required.

I was like Bob on this one. Arrow seemed to be asking a lot for a car that has been done to death, but as Bob has shown, there is more than meets the eye about it. To me, everything under the skin looks like first quality from these shots, so maybe its actually more for the money than other versions. I never would have known without Bob stepping forward, because I seldom run on commercial tracks where this kind of speed is practical.

I see they used undersized wheels for the front, and that Austin installed wheels that filled the wheel openings properly. I point this out because there may be something else we all could use in this. I have always been told that the sacrifice of realistic looks that happens when tiny little wheels are used up front is for the purpose of making the car faster. From this example, that appears to be a false premise. I've always wanted to find out if these silly looking tiny wheels were really necessary, so that caught my eye.

I was thinking that a larger diameter pair of front tires is all that is needed to improve the looks scale wise. The rims are big enough, it just has very low profile tires.
