That's better.. The Posey Challenger

I am very thankful Scalextric made the famous Sam Posey Challenger..
However, they did the Mid Ohio car that looks like this:

Not the more well known "Classic Wax Challenger" version that my son fell in love with at Lime Rock this past fall.

What is a Dad to do who wants to thrill his kid at Christmas.. the kid who doesn't even know Scalextric makes one yet..
Well, Dad gets busy and orders a decal set so he can set things right
I painted the front spoiler and added the Dodge decal, added the #77 to the hood, the Union decal down low and
removed the goodyear decal above the front wheel and replaced it with the Classic Wax Challenger decal.
(removing that Goodyear decal took patience.. it's buried under a coating of gloss)
It's not perfect.. couldn't find a blue Goodyear decal for the hood, and the red lettering on the roof looked
wrong so I left it off, but I think it came out pretty nice overall..
So now, on Christmas morning, my son Cooper will be opening the "Lime Rock Park" edition of Sams Challenger~
