Finished My Camaro, Decals by Pattos.
There was a lot more decals but I wanted to try and keep a clean look, unfortunately when you look real close I've had a little reaction on the decals. I'm not really sure whats happened.
I always use Pattos, it's the same paint and the same clear I've always used.
It's not bad but annoying.






Plenty of weight in this one and DR's trans Am mods so this might become the race car.

Ahhhh.... I remember Kevin Bartlett driving that beast around Bathurst and putting notches in his steering wheel for every Gemini and Escort he took out.

Yep, he used them (the under 2 litre cars) to stop. After some bright spark in the Confederation of Australian motorsport told him he had to run drum brakes on the back.
Couldn't possibly have had a channel 9 sponsored car winning a race that was telecast by channel 7.

That car was a weapon right up until his brakes went away. Then it REALLY became a weapon that indiscriminately bounced off everything while KB was all eyeballs and white knuckles.

Good looking car. With all this T/A buzz going on, I may have to add more to my collection.

OK. Seems I'll have to send a pile of Bathurst DVDs to Harry for hum to distribute. Once you see it on the Mountain you will be painting up KB Camaros left, right and centre. :)

No politics involved in that decision with CAMS. The weird thing is that the car could be optioned with rear disc brakes but for what ever reason CAMS would not homologate that option. I suppose channel 7 had a lot of pull and quite a lot of money was "donated" to CAMS for TV rights to the series and Bathurst telecasts.
