I don't buy a lot of Sideways cars, but I do like this one. Racer/Sideways is doing a great job with the Group 5 cars (Lancia, Capri, 935/78, and now this car). This is a great option if Carrera's version doesn't have enough speed for you.

In his email, it was explained how much time and effort went into the detail level of the car. An effort to have a balance of "aesthetic with weight and technical".

I suppose it is just me, but when the makers of these models take the time to answer questions and share some of the behind the scenes information..it adds to the appeal for me.

There is no doubt whatsoever that I'll be purchasing this car to run with the 935, Capri and Lancia that I already own. The only offering that's left me a bit cold is the M1. Something about it just doesn't appeal me. Wierd, since I love the Fly M1 and expected that the true group 5 version would be awesome. Maybe they just haven't offered a livery that I like yet. However, the 512 is a stunner!

But the M1 is better handling than the others LOL- seems to have a better balance on our wood track
We will have to see if the added length of the 512 bb is a hinderance or a benefit

Good to know Verne! I'll just wait till they offer one "pretty" enough to add to the team. For some reason the body just looks funky to me...

This particular 1:1 version of the M1 was kind of awkward looking, and Sideways chose what could be the most boring paint job in all of motor sports. A more interesting paint job might go a long way.

I think the Fly M1 has a leanness about it compared to the Sideways and also Scaleauto. It really could be the paint scheme - I am not sure I like that Sideways 512 as much as the Carrera NART I have but that may only be the livery as well.

Not sure what livery will work on the M1 - maybe the Wagner car would look nice
