I have a new SRC Capri. It is the #55 blue and white one and it is beautiful. While it was en route to me, I started hearing that the moulds had been damaged and there would be no more SRC Capris. Now I have a decision to make. Do I keep it in the box as my one and only shelf queen, or do I open it up and race it? Does anyone think its resale will go up enough to bother, or if not, should I do what it was made for? Also, is there any truth to these rumours? The SRC site offers several different Capris at what looks to be the usual price.

Sorry to stay off topic, but I would be wary of buying slot cars as "investments".If you think you must do this, buy them and never take them out of the box;and keep your fingers crossed.
Personally, I'd rather buy them, throw the box away, and run them 'til they fall to pieces!
They're only toys, whatever portentous twaddle the marketing men dream up to help you part with your money.

Wow, miveson, those are a couple of nice picks. I was a bit worried that Cartrix might be dying as their output over the past year hasn't been that voluminous, but with the Porsche 804 now out of the limited (200) edition and in to the less limited (1200) phase, plus the Talbot and now that Alfa, it looks like they'll keep churning out those vintage GP's.

Latest slot car? Not really sure. A box arrived last night, I haven't opened it yet, and I have no idea what I've ordered recently. :lol:

Shortly before that, I did get that light blue Carrera Aston Martin, and it's a little bundle of joy.

My latest cars for 2014 are the Slotwings Pioneer 512bb and the Slot It Lancia Martini. After getting the Budweiser 512 I had to have the Pioneer to go with it. I just really like the 512 and with a little tuning they run really good.

Today I received the Scaleauto BMW Z4 with the Barcelona livery. I haven't put it on the track yet, but it is a stunning car to look at. I am sure I will not be disappointed in its performance since I already have the Z4 in the presentation delivery. (Both 1/32)

Very nice cars there RM.......... the Camaro is one of my all time favourites.
