I recently purchased another M-8D white kit from Red Devil Raceway and have decided to attempt to mount a BSB resin McLaren M12 on the slot.It chassis as the wheel base should be the same or very close. The resin body should be here next week and I will report then on how well they match up.
I have also been thinking about getting one of the slot.It twin Ferrari 312PB kits and seeing whether the RMS Ferrari 612 resin body will fit the 312PB chassis.

I just picked up a slot.it Ferrari - the wheelbase is a shorter than the Alfa 33/3 chassis I used on my 612 by a few mm
71mm for Ferrari vs 74 mm for Alfa
It could work but maybe a little short - I added a bit of extra material to the mount posts so that I could move the chassis back a couple of mm to get clearance for the back wheels I wanted so the Ferrari chassis may pull them that little bit forward that makes it a tight fit. I will pull the Ferrari apart and put it under the 612 body and post a photo for you
cheers
David

Thanks, that is a wee bit short. Maybe I'll just get the Alpha and a set of Ferrari wheel inserts.

ModlerBob,
Just a thought . . . . . if you buy the 2 pack of Slot.It Ferraris from Slot Car Corner - an outstanding value at $69.95 - and then pick up a new Slot.It Alfa 33/3 chassis - $6.99- you will have the correct wheelbase. Just a thought.
