What a week, feels I aged a year :)
Did not accomplish much around here except adding to the project list. Which forced me to purchase more parts. Well, we all need more parts right?
In between now and Spring it is going to be a busy time. Looking to do some major renovations down on the skunk works. The General helped finalize the plans last night and look forward in getting started.
Still have some cars to work on. RMS Maverick, MT Racing hot rods and a 1/24 project.
Going to be taking a little vacation this weekend. I'll still be peeking in and out from time to time though.
Hope all of you have had a great week and you have some fun plans for the weekend.

We're hoping to go watch some cars racing on ice tomorrow.
Then it's back to the store on Sunday to try to get caught up on all the stuff that needs getting done...

Thanks, Marty. I would have missed it. Its hard to remember anything that is outdoor fun going on, sitting here on the frozen tundra.

Australia Day weekend here and my parent's 55th wedding anniversary. My brother is visiting for the weekend. So, family stuff on the cards I suppose.
Community BBQ (yeah... I know... Not a REAL BBQ) for breakfast on Monday morning.
Hope to find time to splash some paint on the Spridget which is now officially a Midget.

Exceptionally clear weather forecasts here - I will be doing major wilderness expeditions. :D
I started trying to think of how I could start to make a steep hill climb track. Framework, shimming, mounting goo, spherical nuts/washers, etc. I was going to start with a big sheet of plywood set up at about 60? degrees and use 2x4s mounted horizontal to the plywood backing to minimize volume, and mount the roadbed with bolts and spherical washers, then shim and glue Ninco track to shape on that. (testing with my most corroded pieces of Ninco track) Hopefully I could store the finished product in a BIG bag with a cannister of dessicant since a dehumidified room is still far in the future... I need to see what kind of hairpin I can get out of the Ninco (e.g. R2-R1-R1-R2) to know what will be a reasonable angle to put the backing board at.

Got a very special guest coming to race with me for the weekend. The track will definitely get a good workout and I hope I can win at least one race!

I will probably work on the Cal-Look VW Bug. I did manage to get it painted the other day, just lettin' 'er cure out, then a good polishing out and reassemble with a few little extra touches. :)
