What you have so far suit extremely well.
I think there may be more wee folk in production from cottage industries in the not too distant future.

John - Absolutely. I hate those little puddles they stand in. Fortunately they come off the MRRC figures fairly easily without any loss to the figure itself.

Peter, I don't know if you've noticed, but Micromark list in their catalogue a re-postionable adhesive for figures.
I've no idea whether it's any good,but it's supposed to make it easy to get rid of the green blobs that they so often come with.

Why not cast your own in resin? A couple of simple silicone molds of your favorite figures, repaint and carefully with a little heat to move the arms a bit and new characters! When I was modeling scale boats I copied pieces from kits and reworked them to fit the era I was working with.
