Time to give Scaleauto a look.....

Postby Cincyslots » Fri Jan 31, 2014 10:46 am

I've never really paid a lot of attention to the Scaleauto cars. I ordered a couple cars for a few customers and decided to get one too. I bought the BMW Z4, 1/32. WOW, once I got past the awesome wheels, the rest of the car continued to impress. They are a bit pricey but look fantastic. I can't wait to get home and run it.

I have the Barcelona and the Presentation liveries. They truly are beautiful cars, and the detailing is amazing - especially the wheels. The motors are strong and are often used as hand-out motors at racing events. The Presentation car, the first release, did not have a magnet. The rear wing is also attached differently, but a trunk (boot) mount wing is included with the Presentation car. I have a painted Carrera track and they run a little low. The magnet is way too stuck down, since I race no-mag. I have not taken the time to really work on one yet, so I will be very interested to hear your report.

Yeah, the mag is coming out and Supertires are going on. I'll report once I've had a chance to true it.

You're right, it may be time to give these a look. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts after turning some laps on it. I've looked at some of their 'coming soon' cars and I think this may be the year for my first Scaleauto car.

I am looking forward to adding the Spyker, Viper and the Nurbergring BMW Z4 to my garage this year.
