Great cars from the days when the tires were skinny and the drivers were fat. Great
video of the car with the inside front wheel off the ground. I have never seen a 250F
do that. I have driven one, but not in anger. Only from the tech barn at R/A up to the
paddock area. Unfortunately it was too crowded to "goose" it.

Back to a goatee? I thought you looked good in the "Duck Dynasty" theme.

Funny!
Dave - I actually think that there is a wide-mouthed version of the 250f. I'll see if I can find a pic.

That looks awesome. I'm looking forward to getting mine today. Love the goatee.

@Dave, I have the wide mouth version as a mint body kit by Strombecker. I have a couple of others too. I was thinking of casting a few but was stymied by the splash/stone guard winglets behind the front axle.

The only way to cast the stone guards on the body is to have the mold parting line at that level. Someone
out there must have a body you can buy, or better yet have, so you can cut the guards off and make
a separate mold for them.

I have to say, the other Scaley Maserati's didn't do it for me. This one, I like. I'm not sure it's the Blue and gold colors I grew up with or the white body?? It just looks cool to me!

It is a nice looking car Bruce. Of course having a scale Bibbster at the wheel adds to the appeal.
I always liked these models from Scaley. Not perfect but we made them run pretty well. Have not messed with any in a long time though.

Goose - you pretty much confirmed what I thought I knew of the car. I'd assumed the wide-mouth was a short-track version that needed more cooling. Monaco perhaps?

Shortnose was Stirling Moss (probably others) at Monaco in 1956.....according to pictures I have seen.
