I thought about getting it, but the price is a little high for me. I have NINCO versions and they run fine so the need to invest in this just wasn't there.

Cool car though and nice to see someone releasing a different model. The current path of multiple releases of the same cars is starting to get a little out of hand and I was pleased to see this one picked.

I was unaware of the Ninco version as I haven't seen it anywhere but in light of today's Ninco pricing it probably costs as much as this one from Arrow Slot.

Ninco did the '99 Dell sponsored LeMans winner and her sister car and at least one other version - the "What I Want" car well over ten years ago - about the same time as the Carrera releases. I have the two Ninco Dell cars (and the Carrera) but I saw the 1:1 Beck's car race at Laguna Seca in '98 and '99 and so I may have to spring for one.

No doubt about the older NINCO's. Just commenting from the viewpoint of someone who already has models such as these.

When it comes to the more advanced models in our hobby, this one should make a great choice. Hopefully they the make the others soon so you have something else to race against.

The Ninco versions don't usually cost a whole lot -- probably a better deal than most current retail prices. You just have to be slightly immune to gear noise. :)

We don't have an active class racing anything other than Carrera classic Nascars, Slot.It Group "C" and slot.It classic GT and Can Am at this time. I would probably group it with the slot.It modern GT cars and maybe even the LMP cars.

Nice car! Having run the Nincos, I'd love to see a side-by-side.

The one thing I don't like about the Ninco Beamers is that they have incorrect wheels. I might have to replace the wheels and rear ends of my Ninco cars with a set from the Scale Autos. Do you know what the diameter of the Scale Auto axle is?

They are 3/32". The axle slid through the slot.It gear and bushings with no trouble. I think that means the Ninco axle is slightly larger diameter.

"Beame" is the nickname for the BMW motorcycles. "Bimmer" is the nickname for the BMW automobiles.
